Organ concerts

Since 1968, the concert committee has organised organ concerts in Putten's Oude Kerk on Wednesday evenings. The weekly concerts in the months of July and August have since become a household word in this region. The composition of the programmes takes into account the musical preferences of a wide audience. After all, the aim of the concert committee is to make the church and in particular the organ accessible to everyone. However, besides improvisation, song arrangements and well-known literature, lesser-known literature will also be discussed.

Enthusiastic and talented organists are invited to come and play on the beautiful 1860 Bätz-Witte organ. Besides the beautiful sound of the organ, restored in 2004, listeners can also watch the organist play. In fact, the organist and the registrar are visible from the church and a large projection screen allows listeners to closely follow the organist's actions. The concerts will start at 20:00 and the church door under the tower will open at 19:30. Admission is still free and the programme booklet free, with an appropriate fee being requested to cover expenses.
