This season, the museum presents a wonderful temporary exhibition on Cornelis Jetses, an artist who for many is a symbol of nostalgia and familiarity.
Jetses is best known as illustrator of the reading board 'Aap, Noot, Mies' and the stories of Ot and Sien. However, this exhibition also shows his versatility as a painter. He painted peasant life, landscapes and scenes.
In 1942, Jetses stayed in the Veluwe with his daughter Dien, where he made many sketches. A selection of these can be admired in the museum.
If you would like to learn more about the life and work of Cornelis Jetses, you are welcome to visit the Historical Museum De Tien Malen. Among other things, a brochure about his life and oeuvre is available. The museum is beautifully located on Landgoed Schovenhorst. For children, there is a fun puzzle tour through the museum,
