Picnicking

On this beautiful estate, there are many spots to settle down with your picnic blanket. The only worry you have is deciding what to do first: The play forest, the forest tower, the walk or just attack that picnic after all?

At this cosy playing field, you can play on the playground equipment, kick a ball around and enjoy the beautiful spot in the middle of the forest. The Putterbos walk (9 km) also starts here. You will find this picnic spot on Prins Hendrikweg!

At the edge of the beautiful pond overlooking Oldenaller Castle, you will sit in a fairytale location to feast on your brought delicacies. Don't forget to glance up. Chances are you will spot a heron. And if you want to see a bit more of the surroundings, you can hike the Oldenallerpad (8km).

Between Putten and Nijkerk lies the vast polder area of Arkemheen! Feel the wind through your hair and enjoy panoramic views. Cycle or walk through the meadows or along the water! Do you like peace and quiet and space? Then this is definitely the place for you!

In the middle of the beautiful castle gardens of Staverden, you can enjoy a picnic and the wooded surroundings. There are several hiking trails in the vicinity. Don't forget to say hello to the white peacocks or visit the vegetable garden and herb greenhouse.

It’s lovely to feel the sand beneath your bare feet as you stroll along the water’s edge. At Veluwe aan Zee, you can spend hours enjoying the most beautiful sunsets! And when the weather’s fine, of course, you can take a lovely refreshing dip in the Veluwe Randmeer. Don’t fancy bringing your own snacks? Head to Beachclub Nulde or Beachhouse Key West!

Just steps away from Oud Groevenbeek Estate you will find Speelnatuur OERR. Here you can romp, play with water, sand and mud, balance over tree trunks, smell herbs and much more!

Enjoy the beautiful view of the Ermelosche Heide during your picnic. Take a look at the big screen at the sheepfold and see the youngest lambs in the stable. The heath is also a starting point for various walking and cycling routes.
