Solse Gat route - Cycle through the forest of dancing trees and discover neighbouring municipalities

This route takes you past beautiful places in Putten and its surroundings. For instance, you cycle along the mystical Solse Gat, through the forest with the "dancing" trees and a little later you pass Landgoed Schovenhorst and Landgoed Groevenbeek. You also cycle through the neighbouring municipalities of Ermelo and Garderen. Along the way, there are several opportunities to visit catering establishments and fun excursions. 1. Het Solse Gat

Do you know the legend of het Solse gat? The story goes that there once stood a mighty but angry monastery which has sunk into the ground. Since then, at midnight a strange sound comes from the depths of het Solse gat . But as soon as the sun shines, it is as if nothing has happened.

2. Forest house three

At Boshuis Drie, you can enjoy delicious coffee with the well-known apple pie. Due to the delicious large pieces, this apple pie is much sought-after and well-known by many. You can also enjoy lunch on the terrace.

3. Garderen

During this route, you cycle through neighbouring community Garderen. A small village with shops to provide basic necessities. You can enjoy snacks and drinks on a number of terraces and recharge your bike's battery at certain spots.

4. Landgoed Schovenhorst

Putten's most beautiful secret. Near node 52 is Landgoed Schovenhorst. On the estate you will find five tree gardens, the 40-metre high forest tower and a play forest. You can also enjoy a snack and drink at Brasserie Schovenhorst. A fun stopover!

6. Ermelo

Between nodes 91 and 92 you cycle into the village of Ermelo. A cosy village with nice shops. From baker to clothes shop. Lots can be found in the centre.
