Corn mill 't Hert is a striking feature in the centuries-old village of Putten. The mill hints at the time when cornfields dominated the image of the Puttereng and then stood like a sentinel at the entrance to the village. The mill runs every Saturday. The current mill was built in 1899, replacing a predecessor that burned down in 1898 and had served there for at least a hundred years. The mill has been thoroughly restored over the years. This involved the replacement of the sails, the tail, the tower, the wheelwork and the reed cover. Currently, the mill grinds wheat for the baker and rye for pig feed. The mill runs every Saturday.
