Delta Schuitenbeek - The place for bird watching and beautiful views!
This special nature reserve is an ideal breeding and habitat for waterbirds. You can see widgeons, shovelers, teals and the protected lesser swan here. In addition, transiting waders and large flocks of lapwings can often be seen. The neighbouring Putterpolder is an important area for several species of geese and other meadow birds. The Delta Schuitenbeek is located between Nulde and the Nijkerkersluis lock and can be easily viewed from the Zeedijk.
Pluktuin het Platteland
You can harvest vegetables, fruit and flowers yourself at Pluktuin het Platteland. Where does the red handkerchief hang? That's where you can pick! The nostalgic garden also has a coffee garden with cosy seats and a shop with great local products.

Het Solse Gat
the Speulder forest lies'Het Solse Gat'. Legend has it that het Solse gat was created by a sunken monastery where the spirits of the monks still wander at night.

Zwaartepunt van Nederland
Frank Storbeck calculated the zwaartepunt van Nederland in 1984. The coordinates turned out to be in Putten. At this location, you will find a large stone with a large iron ring. If you lifted the Netherlands by this ring, it would hang completely in balance. Will you lift the Netherlands?

Medusa
This wondrous tree artwork was created from a tree fallen by storm. Artists Theo Borger and André van Beek reworked the felled Douglas fir into the famous figure from Greek mythology; Medusa. The artwork can be seen on the Nieuwe Prinsenweg. Between cycle junctions 56 and 97.

Game arena 'De Witte Hoogt
The Veluwe is known for its wildlife. During a twilight walk, you might just come across a roe deer, stag or wild boar. The chance is even greater when visiting Wildarena 'De Witte Hoogt'. This location is located in a rest area and can therefore only be visited under the guidance of the Forestry Commission. Booking is necessary.

Putterbos
minutes you can be in the Putterbos from the city centre. information board on the Prins Hendrikweg is the starting point of several hiking and cycling routes. Get sporty on the trim tracks and playing field. Let the children have fun on the new playground equipment and stimulate their imagination. The renovated picnic tables invite you to enjoy a delicious picnic. Dogs are also welcome to wander through the woods.

Krachtighuizerheide
Nature enhancement measures have been implemented in the area by 2025. The information board opposite the car park on Krachtighuizerweg is the starting point of many walking routes including the Veluws Verleden walking route (3km). Walking through the woods and across the heathland, you will come across several relics from the prehistoric past. Marvel at the artwork 'Woodhenge', discover the centre of gravity and enjoy the beautiful view over the Veluwe on the forest tower.

Woodhenge / De Tijd
On the Krachtighuizerheide stands the artwork ‘Woodhenge’ / ‘De Tijd’. Sculptor Jan-Carel Koster drew inspiration from Stonehenge and the prehistoric burial mounds found around Putten. This artwork features a timeline marking key dates in Putten’s history. Every day at 12 noon, the shadow of the timeline points exactly north from the wooden circle. Walk the orange ‘Veluws Verleden’ route, follow the orange arrows and you’ll soon come across this iconic artwork. The walk starts opposite the car park on Krachtighuizerweg.
Kasteel De Vanenburg
Taste the authentic atmosphere of this cultural heritage with a history dating back to 1389. Breathe in the history, nature and art with a wonderful walk around the castle and enjoy the beautiful arboretum. Then relax on the terrace or in the restaurant and enjoy a culinary surprise. If you want to stay a little longer on this authentic estate, an overnight stay in one of the beautiful hotel rooms is also possible.
