    In the Putten forest, you can come across the artwork Medusa and the Zwaartepunt van Nederland .

    The Medusa was created by a tree fallen by storm. Artists Theo Borger and André van Beek reworked the felled Douglas fir into the well-known figure from Greek mythology; Medusa. The artwork can be seen on the Nieuwe Prinsenweg between cycle junctions 56 and 97.
    The location of the zwaartepunt van Nederland was calculated by Frans Storbecke in 1984. His calculations resulted in the territory of the municipality of Putten.
    A stone with a ring has been placed at the location of the geographical centre with the text "Lift the Netherlands by this ring and no one will notice". A great place for a selfie!
