Museumboerderij De Mariahoeve
Museumboerderij De Mariahoeve is a small open-air museum showcasing former life on a Veluwe farm. Complete with vegetable garden, orchard, tuber field and toad pool.
What makes the Mariahoeve unique is that 'everything' is still there, just as Mary left it. The furniture is still in place, clothes and linen are in the cupboards and the cellar still has the filled weck bottles.
The Puttens Historisch Genootschap (PHG) Foundation is the initiator of this complex. Established with the aim of preserving the Mariahoeve as agricultural and cultural heritage for the future and making it accessible to the public. Some 72 volunteers work at the Mariahoeve for support. The volunteer work covers various tasks: from trimming the hedges to informing guests for the tours and in the Schenkerij.
Hospitality is their top priority!
