Enjoy a wag in Putten

Putten has many nature areas where your dog can run free and have a great time. Below is an overview of off-leash areas in the municipality of Putten that will make your four-legged friend wag his tail. Just make sure your dog never chases wild animals and is well-behaved and under proper supervision.

The Putterbos

In the Putterbos part of the Speulderbos), there is a large dog walking area. Parking is free at the Staatsbosbeheer car park at the end of Prins Hendrikweg in Putten.

The Great Ark

De Grote Ark is a stretch of forest/heathland between Krachtighuizen and Koudhoorn. The area is divided in two by the Arnhem Karweg: The Grote Ark (the largest moorland area) is accessible only if the dog is leashed. The forest area on the side of the car park is the off-leash area. You can park in the car park on the Arnhemse Karweg, about 500 metres past " 't Leemen Huusje".

Beach Nulde

At this cosy dog beach, all four-legged friends are welcome during the dog season (1 October to 1 May) Get a nice wet nose during a beach walk ! Here dogs can swim, romp, play and make other doggy friends during dog activities. Parking is available at the car park, Strand Nulde Zuid Strandboulevard 1.

Krachtighuizerheide

Krachtighuizen is the area between Oude Prinsenweg/Oude Garderenseweg and Kolthoornseweg and Batosweg. It is beautiful to stroll here and when the heather is in bloom it is a purple splendour.

The Ermelosche Zand

The area the Ermelose Zand does not live up to its name. It is a large wooded area on the eastern side of Ermelo and is completely covered in forest. Enough trees for a thorough inspection by your dog! Nice for a walk and it has lots of small paths. A nice little area and with all the other areas nearby you can make it a varied day.
