Always wanted to see and experience how the inhabitants of Putten lived and lived over the centuries? Then visit Historical Museum De Tien Malen, on the beautiful Landgoed Schovenhorst.
From the Stone Age to the 1950s
The museum houses a large collection of prehistoric archaeological finds such as flint blades, knives, scrapers and stone axes. The history of the village comes alive here with maps, photos, drawings and scale-made viewing boxes of, for example, a farm and burial mound.
A large collection of craft and agricultural tools and implements complete the picture. How did the Putter live, in a time without running water and electricity?
Experience domestic work in the 'gutter' (kitchen), living in the heerd (living room) and repairing in the farm workshop. And while doing so, also learn all about brinks, wastelands, mills and much more.
