Korenmolen het Hert
Contact
Corn mill 't Hert is a striking feature in the centuries-old village of Putten. The mill hints at the time when cornfields dominated the image of the Puttereng and then stood like a sentinel at the entrance to the village. The mill still runs regularly and guided tours are also available.
The current mill was built in 1899, replacing a predecessor that burned down in 1898 and had served there for at least a hundred years. The mill has been thoroughly restored over the years. This included the replacement of the sails, tail, turnover, wheelwork and reed cover. Currently, the mill grinds maize for cattle feed.
