Shop & Enjoy!

Putten lends itself perfectly to a day of shopping and relaxation.
Many tourists think that for a day of shopping they have to head for the 'big city', but nothing could be further from the truth and I am happy to show and read about that in this blog.

A day at the Putten shopping centre what does that look like? Well, I like to start with a cup of tea and some goodies and today I am doing so at De Marktmeester. You can enjoy lunch and dinner here, but there are also lots of goodies with tea. As I have an afternoon tea planned at the end of the day, I take something elaborate now, so I can skip lunch today. This delicious waffle with hot cherries and whipped cream was delicious!

After this energy boost, I am ready to hit the shops. I have some things on my list, but also plan to have a browse around. Are you watching? I start in Kerkstraat, where the cheerful summery shop windows immediately catch my eye. The most beautiful shoes are displayed at van Boeijen and at G5, Now and La Chicana we see that the new summer collections are full of bright colours and cheerful prints. These make you feel like summer right away! At La Culina , I buy a nice gift for my friend who is crazy about cooking and at Hoff's shop I take a peek in the window to decide which beautiful piece of jewellery to put on my wish list.

At 'Our shop' they have so many nice things, you almost don't know where to look. The self-made items from'Onze werkplaats' are also very cool!

In addition to very nice fashion shops, you will also find a wide range of great places in Putten's shopping centre for gifts, beautiful things for the home, culinary expressions and, in addition to the many unique Putten entrepreneurs, you can also find a number of well-known chains for daily groceries and household supplies. In the Dorpsstraat too, I have to restrain myself from buying the shops empty, how much fun there is to find!

Klein Mode has decorated the shop beautifully again, what a luxury! At the Binnenkamer, just the smell upon entering is delicious. And I see so many beautiful items for the home. I quickly walk into the bookshop to buy a new book and then I have to hurry, because it is time for Afternoon Tea.

With my arms filled, I arrive at Flute & Herb. This is where I will enjoy the new afternoon tea today together with VVV colleagues. We are enthusiastically welcomed by Mariëtte and Rieneke and take a seat at the large table at the back of the shop. The table is beautifully set with nostalgic cups and saucers and is soon complemented by a beautiful teapot with fresh teas and a richly filled etagere. We enjoy freshly made sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and all kinds of delicious sweets. Now this is real enjoyment!

Walking back towards the car, I make a small diversions via the Verlengde Dorpsstraat. At Domburg Kaas & Noten I pick up delicious cheeses, nuts and other goodies to enjoy on the couch in the evening.
