Scooter riding on the Veluwe!

Last week, we (me, my sister and our parents) rented a scooter. We also did this last year and it was great fun!
When you go to pick up the scooter, you can get a route map with it, but we knew exactly where we wanted to go!

Since we still have a young dog and don't want to leave it alone for so long, we went on two different rounds and had lunch at home. In the morning, we first drove to Nulde beach and along the long cycle path all the way to Harderwijk. We then rode along the promenade. It was busy though with all the people walking there, but also very nice to look at the water and all the boats.

After Harderwijk, we drove to Hierden. There we had to figure out how we wanted to drive back, we wanted to go through the forest. On the way back to Putten, we stopped briefly in Leuvenum and had a drink at De Zwarte Boer. After all, sitting on the back of the scooter for a long time does make your legs a bit sore.

After eating at home, we rode our scooter again to Voorthuizen. Not on the regular road, but via all kinds of small shortcuts. You then pass through Huinen and Veenhuizerveld, where you drive past all kinds of beautiful farms, and it is a very beautiful area.

From Voorthuizen, we drove to Garderen, where we had another drink on the terrace at the Bourgondiƫr. After a long day on the scooter, we really wanted to go home again, but when we drove back from Garderen we got a bit lost. Fortunately, we soon managed to find our way back and were just in time to return the scooter!

And next year we are going again, only then we will visit other places on the Veluwe!
