Putten and its surroundings have many walking routes. For instance, walk one of the beautiful forest routes or be surprised by the landscape while hiking one of the clog paths.
Dogs are not allowed on the clog paths, but Putten has nice off-leash areas. On our dog page you will find all information on this and great tips.

Historical guided village walk

Putten's historical highlights with a guide, with plenty of background information on its particularly rich history. Discover locations that recall World War 2 and the October 1944 raid. The Veluwe is beautiful - Walk one of the signposted walking routes

Putten and the surrounding area have several walking routes. Beautiful routes through the woods over the heathland and along the sand drifts.

VVV Putten has several up-to-date walking maps available these cost €12.99. The Ermelo/Putten walking map is temporarily unavailable.

Riding and driving routes

Discover Putten and its surroundings on horseback! The VVV Tourist Office has a beautiful overview map with all the renewed equestrian and riding routes. Would you like to receive the map prior to your visit? Mail us: info@vvvputten.nl/en and the map will come to you.

Gift - Walking without a map?

One of the marked routes in Putten is the Putterboswandeling (9.6km). This route takes you through the Putterbos that changes colour beautifully with the seasons. The Putterbos walk starts at the Putterbos car park on Prins Hendrikweg. While walking this route, which is marked with blue/white signs, you will pass a number of burial mounds, among other things.

 

Klompenpaden

Beautiful walking routes across farmland, country estates and past places you wouldn't normally come across so easily. While walking, enjoy the peace, small scale and combination of culture and nature. In Putten, 4 clog paths have been set out: The Oldenallerpad (8km), The Norderpad (12km), The Huinerpad (15km) and The Hoeverveldpad (15km).
